What is the Veterans Wall of Freedom?

• The Veterans Wall of Freedom is a unique tribute to America’s Veterans.
• This monument proudly spells out the word FREEDOM in large block letters.
• Each letter stands six-feet tall and six to eight feet wide.
• On each of the letters, veterans or their families are able to reserve a space honoring the veteran’s service.
• There are a total of 1649 spaces, each 3” x 6”, on the Monument.
• Interesting Note: with the 127 spacer plaques (those filling in spaces and not being used for engraving) there are 1776 plaque spaces!

Project Status:

Phase I – Location and Acquisition of the site and the Design of the project (Complete)
Phase II – Monument Construction (Complete)
Phase III – Veterans Plaque Installation (In-Progress until all spaces are filled)
Phase IV – Monument Dedication (Complete)
Phase V – Site Completion (Complete)

Memorial Day:

Submit Plaque Reservations by April 20 and your veteran's plaque will be unveiled at the Memorial Day ceremony.

Veterans Day:

Submit Plaque Reservations by September 30 and your veteran's plaque will be unveiled at the Veterans Day ceremony on November 11.

Memorial Day and Veterans Day Plaque installations:

Generally, there will be two rounds per year for new plaque installation until all spaces are assigned.  These installations will be targeted for are Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The cutoff for reservations is approximately 5-6 weeks before the unveiling to provide time to complete the process.
