The Veterans Wall of Freedom is located in Veterans FREEDOM park (formerly Pico Park), 21950 Pico Street, Grand Terrace, CA, 92313.
Why Grand Terrace?
Grand Terrace is located strategically in the center
of the Inland Empire, between the cities of San Bernardino and Riverside, Ontario and Redlands.
Within the Inland Empire of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, it is estimated that there are over 240,000 veterans and over 600,000 family members of veterans.
- Five miles away is the Jerry Pettis Veterans Affairs
Medical Center in Loma Linda. - The Riverside National Cemetery, the most active military cemetery, is located fifteen miles away, adjacent to March Air Reserve Base.
Within two hours of Grand Terrace are several important military installations including
- US Army Fort Irwin National Training Center,
- US Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, US Marine Corps
- Camp Pendleton
- Edwards Air Force Base
- US Naval Station San Diego
Project Site
The City of Grand Terrace has dedicated this site for the Veterans Wall so land purchase was not be necessary. Additionally, since it's located in an existing park facility with, there's plenty of parking for visitors and includes ADA accessible parking and restroom facilities available. The Wall of Freedom was constructed in the Red area shown below in the aerial picture.
