What is the Veterans Wall of Freedom?

Project Status:

Phase I – Location and Acquisition of the site and the Design of the project (Complete)
Phase II – Monument Construction (Complete)
Phase III – Veterans Plaque Installation (In-Progress until all spaces are filled)
Phase IV – Monument Dedication (Complete)


The final phase is Phase IV – Site Completion which includes:
• Monument Sign – to make it easy for visitors to find the Park and the Monument (in process)
• Time capsule installation – (11/11/2017)
• Sponsor Plaques and Sponsor Walls - (11/11/2017)
• Final Landscaping (Complete)

Memorial Day 2017:

Submit Plaque Reservations by 4/15/2017 (extended) and your veteran's plaque will be unveiled at the Memorial Day ceremony (5/29/2017).

Veterans Day 2017:

Submit Plaque Reservations by 9/30/2017 and your veteran's plaque will be unveiled at the Veterans Day ceremony. (11/11/2017)

Future Memorial Day and Veterans Day Plaque installations:

Generally, there will be two rounds per year for new plaque installation until all spaces are assigned.  These installations will be targeted for are Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The cutoff for reservations is approximately 45 days before the unveiling to provide time to complete the process.
